AR Customer Diary

Overview

You open the Customer Diary window from the toolbar in the AR: Invoice Review window.

If the Diary Entry was created for a specific invoice, the Related Invoices grid (lower right-hand corner) displays the Invoice Number.

Diary entries can be made directly from AR: Collections from the Action menu. Although the Customer Diary screen does not open, the ability to create a new diary entry from a popup screen does.

When accessing the Diary from the Invoice Review screen, a Customer Number must be entered. The Invoice Review screen will then limit the invoices for the specified Customer only and the Type is also filtered for Collections and Dispute Type of diary entries.

The Diary enables you to keep notes concerning issues or to track using Follow Up Dates. You can use it to record any interaction you want to remember—such as a phone conversation or a handwritten letter you mailed or received. The records are sorted by Entry Date.

The Customer Diary also includes Diary Entries related to invoices that are in Collections or In Dispute.

A Diary Report can be run for the Customer Diary. A Customer Diary Report can be created from the AR Reports menu and also from AR: Collections.

Security

The AR Customer Diary screen has its own Security Group, AR Customer Diary with the Insert Only and Read-Only features available.

The AR Customer Diary screen is part of the AR ALL and SYS Diaries ALL Security Groups.
