SIP Version Changes
TEAM is upgrading TeamTime with SIP technology to harness the benefits of an IP-based solution. This upgrade is using voice application technology with advanced, cloud-based call control and SIP trunking capabilities. For SaaS clients, you will keep your existing toll-free number and you will experience little to no downtime during this upgrade.
Benefits of the TeamTime Transition
- Ability to be virtual and not rely on a physical server
- Freedom from hardware with dialogic cards
- Capability to perform voice biometrics
- Ability to support multiple languages
- Text to speech technology
With this opportunity, TEAM is making changes and deprecating some of the low-use features in favor of other, better existing solutions. Here are the changes to be aware of.
Features that are Changing
The audio an employee hears when they clock in and out utilizes text to speech technology and will change the sound of the voice. Employees calling in to TeamTime will still experience the same clock in and out menu options.
Also, there are three default languages for use in TeamTime; English, Spanish and Polish. To review the language settings, make changes or add a new language for TeamTime use, use the Language Settings screen accessed from the TeamTime module.
TeamTime notifications will now be sent via the Action Item engine. TEAM automatically runs a script to transition your TeamTime notifications. You will not be required to perform any additional set up.
The Action Items display in Action Item Defaults.
There are seven hard-coded types of TeamTime Action Items.
- Caller ID Mismatch
- No Check-In
- Periodic Check
- No Coverage
- Voice Verification
- GPS Mismatch
- Messaging
The Emergency Pager, Use Secondary Paging and the Secondary Paging Delay fields in TeamTime Defaults are not used with TeamTime SIP. These fields have been replaced by Action Item functionality.
See AI: About TeamTime Alerts for additional information about TeamTime notifications.
The new Recordings screen is used to review voice enrollments and verifications for customers using the TeamTime SIP feature. If you would like to set up Voice Verifications, contact your TEAM Sales Manager, as this is an additional feature.
Features that are being deprecated
What is being deprecated
- Ability for a supervisor to group check in/out employees
This functionality is setup in the PAY/HR: Classifications window accessed from the Employee Master File. You can identify which classifications have group check in/out functionality on this screen, and notify supervisors that may be impacted by this change.
What can be used instead
A multi session call can be used by pressing the asterisk * key after completing a clock in/clock out process. Have the employee pass the call to the next employee without exiting the call completely.
