Setting Up Security for Personnel Schedules

Use this procedure to set up security for Employees using the Schedules screen.

Compliance Setup

  1. Set up Response Levels in the HR: Scheduling Response screen.

    2. The Warn User and Check User Security check boxes will help determine whether Employees will receive a warning or error when there are compliance issues. See Warning/Error Settings for more information.

  2. Choose a Response Level for Shifts that start "Today" in PS: Defaults.

PS Security Setup

  1. Choose Applicable User Security settings in SYS: User Security.

    Bill Rates - Read and Write

    Use the Bill Rates Read and Write fields to enable the ability to read and write Bill Rates on the Schedule Detail for a Cell screen for the selected User Name.

    Can Insert Shifts on Scheduling Screen

    Select this check box to allow the user to insert a shift on the Schedules screen. If you clear this option, the system does allow the user to insert a shift on the Schedules screen.

    Can Select from List, Invoice Description and Bill Category on Scheduling Screen

    Select this check box to allow User to select from list on Detail Cell Information screen for Invoice Description, Bill Category (and Reset functionality), and Non Billable item.

    This option is selected by default for new Users.

    Can Change Additional Tier Description on Scheduling Screen

    Select this check box to grant a User permission to edit the Personnel Schedules, Detail Cell, Additional Tier Description field.

    Can Bypass Compliance Requirements

    Select this check box to allow the user to override the Compliance Requirements warning when scheduling an employee.

    Can Schedule Overlapping Shifts

    Select this check box to allow the user to schedule an employee for a shift that overlaps with another shift they are scheduled for.

    Can Schedule Overtime

    Select this check box to allow the user to schedule an employee for a shift that will put them in overtime.

    Can Exceed Post Pay Rate

    Select this check box to allow the user to schedule an employee who has a pay rate that exceeds the Target Post pay rate for a shift.

    Can Offer Position

    Select this check box to allow the user to send shift offers to Employees from the Search For Eligible Employee screen.
