Absence Reasons
Overview
The Absence Reasons add/edit list can be accessed from TeamTime Defaults, the Employee Absence Tracker window, the Post Watch - Confirm Changes window, and from the Time Off tab on the SYS: eHub Setup window.
Key Functionality
WinTeam automatically assigns an ID to each new record, and uses the ID field to identify each record. You may change system-assigned ID Numbers.
Enter a reason for the absence in the Time Off Reason field.
This field is driven by the Time Off Reason and can be any of the following:
- Paid - Benefit Required
- Paid - Benefit Not Required
- Unpaid
This is an optional field that can display helper text to employees—for example, if they need to supply additional information for the reason they selected.

If this field is selected and a Time Off Record is created with this description, it pushes the time off information to the Absence Tracker.
If this field is selected and a Time Off Record is created with this description, it pushes the time off information to the Time Off Planner.
Select the Excused check box to mark the absence as excused. If the check box is clear, the absence is not excused.
Select this check box to make the selected record active. Clear the check box to make the record inactive.
Custom Settings
This setting can be used to automatically drop down the Reason, Root Cause, and Absence Reason lists when tabbing in the Post Watch - Confirm Changes window.

Security
This add/edit list is part of the SYS Add Edit List ALL Security Group.
Security Features include the ability to:
- Deny Set Active\Inactive
- Deny Set Default
