AI: Getting Started with Action Items
This topic is primarily for WinTeam Administrators to prepare for the use of Action Items.
Action Items and WinTeam
- From the WinTeam System module you can set up defaults, create and review items, manage templates, and create templates by job.
- From the WinTeam Job Costing module you can create and review actions items and create templates by Job.
Default Templates can be set up for each Request Type. TEAM has already set up a default template for each Request Type that we included. All TeamTime Types are hard-coded and WinTeam includes TeamTime Templates for each of its Action Item Types. For more information see SYS:Action Item Defaults. Templates are used to set up notifications and escalations for a specific type of action item.
All functions can be performed through WinTeam. However, most Action Item functions are performed using eHub Mobile, eHub Web, TeamTime, messaging, and text messages.
The Notification Service must be set up in order to use the Action Items feature. This is already set up for SaaS clients. Team will assist premise clients with the installation.
- (Premise clients only) Ensure the requirements are met for the Notification Service installation.
- Set up Security for Action Items.
- Set up Service URLs to distribute e-mail, notifications, and responses/replies.
To set up Service URLs
- On the System menu, click Setup, and then click Defaults.
- Under Service URLs enter the endpoint for Authentications.
- Under Service URLs enter the endpoint for Notifications.
- Set up Request Types.
- Set up Statuses.
- Set up Actions Items by creating notification and escalation steps for each Action Item Template.
