Adding a Security Group to a User

Use this procedure to add a Security Group or Security Role to an existing User Name. You may want to review the following topics before adding a Security Group to a User:

Note:  To make a User a part of a Security Group, you must add the Security Group to the User. You cannot add a User directly to a Security Group.

To add a Group to a User:

  1. From the Security menu, click User Setup.
  2. Lookup the existing User Name.
  3. In the Groups grid, select each Group (or Role) to grant access to the User.
  4. Click Close to save the record.
