HR: Rehire Eligibility

Overview

In companies with multiple branches, inactive employees may seek reemployment with an alternate branch. As a hiring manager, you may need to verify an applicant's eligibility for rehire, in order to comply with company hiring policies. If the applicant has worked for another branch of your company, and your security access is restricted to just those Employee Master Files at the companies and locations you oversee, you can use WinTeam’s Rehire Eligibility feature to search applicant eligibility by Social Security Number. Company and Location security are not looked at when verifying eligibility for rehire.

Note:  Following an Employee's status being changed to 'Inactive' (Employee Master File (Status Info tab), the Eligible for Rehire check box displays on the General tab. Regardless of the reason the employee has been made inactive, you may choose to leave the check box cleared or select it so that the employee is eligible for rehire.
