QA: Area Types
Overview
The Area Types add list can be accessed from the QA: Areas screen.
The Area Types are used to group related Areas into a single category.
When creating a new Area, the Quality Objective from the Area Type defaults to QA Areas screen. However, it can be modified.
The QA Report: Checkpoint Results can be Grouped By and filtered by Area Types.
Key Functionality
This add/edit list is part of the SYS Add Edit List ALL Security Group.
Security Features include the ability to:
- Deny Set Active\Inactive
- Deny Set Default

WinTeam automatically assigns an ID to each new record, and uses the ID field to identify each record. You may change system-assigned ID Numbers.
Use this field to enter a unique name for the record. After a new record is created, WinTeam displays this Description with the corresponding ID number in the Add/Edit list.
Enter a percentage of quality that must be met in order to be deemed acceptable for the Area Type.
Acceptable percentages are from 0 to 100. The Default setting is 100%.
The Quality Objective from the Area Type defaults to the Area screen when creating a new Area. However, it can be modified.
Select this check box to make the selected record active. Clear the check box to make the record inactive.
Note: If this entry is marked 'Active', it displays in the Type list on the QA Areas screen.
