Fixed Assets Master Report

Overview

Use the Fixed Assets Master Report to print a list of all Fixed Assets in the FA: Master File that are not disposed. You can include depreciable, non-depreciable, or both in the report. You can sort the report by Asset ID # or Description and filter by Assets, Asset Categories, Asset Types, Primary Depreciable Jobs, Methods, Vendors, PP Types, PP Jurisdictions and Tax Class Life.

You may elect to print a summary or detail report, and select from various report criteria options.

The Summary report contains the Asset ID #, Description, Type, Serial Number, Category, Depreciation Method, Date Acquired, Primary Job, Multiple Job Distribution, Date Effective, Last Date Updated, Expected Life, Periods Completed, Parent Asset ID, Cost, Salvage Amount, Depreciable Amount, Accumulated Depreciation, Monthly Depreciation, Net Book Value, Depreciable indicator, Date Assigned to Current Job, and Current Job.

The Detail Report contains all items in the summary report plus the Manufacturer, Bar Code, Vendor, PP Type, PP Jurisdiction, and Tax Class.

The Tier Parameter is determined by the Job to which the asset is currently assigned.

You can filter, group, and print by Tiers, allowing for total customization of the report. To make filtering easier, for any Tier, you can include All, Pick/Create or Exclude parameters. Using Tier Templates to set up and save report templates makes it easy to generate a specific report each time you need it, without having to recreate the criteria. See Using Tier Templates for more information.

You can also use this report to reconcile the Fixed Assets and Accumulated Depreciation accounts in the General Ledger.

This is a good report to run at year end and give your accountant.
