QS: About Query Scheduler
You can use Query Scheduler to create, modify, and run queries against the WinTeam database to extract specific information. Query Scheduler can export the results of a query either as a comma-delimited text (CSV) file or an Excel file, which you can choose to encrypt and to zip. You can use Query Scheduler to automatically distribute the results of queries by way of email or FTP (file transfer protocol) to designated individuals or groups on a predefined schedule. You can also manually send query results.
When you export the results of a query to an Excel file, you can use a specific Excel template that you have set up. Doing so saves you from having to reformat the spreadsheet each time the output is generated. You can set up your template with formulas, charts, and other formatting features so that when the data is exported to the template, you can see the results immediately and no additional formatting is necessary.
Query Scheduler's options are completely customizable to your company and are virtually limitless.
Some examples include the following:
- Email a list of all new customers added within the last month to your management team.
- Send a weekly email with their employees' vacation balances to your supervisors.
- Identify set up mistakes, such as incorrect overtime methods assigned to employees in a particular state.
Query Scheduler comes with several predefined queries, but TEAM can also help you design customized queries to give you and your staff the information you need to manage your business effectively.
