Sample Paychecks

PDF Paychecks look slightly different than the original printed check since they are not intended to be a 'cashable' check.

The following is a list of the differences you will notice on the PDF:

  • Each PDF shows NON NEGOTIABLE in the signature area.
  • The PDF does not include the check amount or check amount verbiage.
  • The PDF does not include the MICR information (if MICR was printed on the paychecks). (Nothing is shown in the MICR area of a pdf).
  • If Pay Defaults is set to Type of Form: Blank Check Stock, the Bank name and address are not included on the PDF.

Regular check – Non Direct Deposit

This sample shows what is normally printed on the paycheck (when using the Blank Check Stock option and printing MICR).

Direct Deposit Check including Direct Deposit Information on Paycheck

This sample shows a direct deposit check with the direct deposit information printed on the check portion. Whatever information is set up in the Direct Deposit Information screen of the employee at the time the check was printed is included in the details. Any changes made after the paychecks have been printed will not be considered unless the check is printed again (through Reprint process).

Warning:  This is important to understand since any changes after may affect your NACHA file, but won’t affect what the employee sees on their paycheck.

If the employee has multiple bank accounts that their check is being deposited into, the check will show the accounts affected. The first account shown will be the Primary bank account for the employee. The check can hold up information for up to 8 different bank accounts.

Direct Deposit Check without Direct Deposit Information on Paycheck

This sample shows a direct deposit check without Direct Deposit Information. No amount displays ($******0.00).

This is also an example of the pdf format used for non-direct deposit checks.

In addition, secondary pages of information are included in the pdf when there is a section on the Paycheck where the details exceed the amount of lines that can be shown on the paycheck. In this case, the MORE… details are included on the additional page(s) of the pdf.
