PAY: Defaults Custom Settings

Section Item Value Purpose
LaserPRCheck ADPNewFormat Yes

This setting is the new ADP Format. Effective 2012.

Another setting, LaserPRCheck, PrintPayCheckCompanyAddress, Yes

is available when this setting is in place.

LaserPRCheck ConvertLabelsToFrench Yes This setting converts the labels to French that print on the Framed, Canadian paycheck format. It also includes weekly hours subtotals on pay stubs for the Canadian Framed Check Layout. Change was made due to a legislative requirement in Québec.
LaserPRCheck HideHoursAccumulated Yes

LaserPRCheck PrintCompanyAddress Yes

PAY: Print Checks (ADP Format)

This setting is available when this setting is in place: LaserPRCheck, ADPNewFormat, Yes

This setting is used to print the Paycheck Company Number (not the Cash Account Company Number) for the logo when printing the paychecks and also when creating PDF's.

LaserPRCheck UseLegalAlways Yes

This setting enables Direct Deposit checks to also print on the legal size form when the Paycheck Report Layout is Legal Size Self Sealer.

With this setting in place AND using the Paycheck Report Layout Legal Size Self Sealer you need only one form: 8 1/2 x 14 for both Non Direct Deposit and Direct Deposit checks.

Without this setting in place AND using the Paycheck Report Layout Legal Size Self Sealer you would need two different sets of forms: Non Direct Deposit checks would print on 8 1/2 x 14 (Legal size) and Direct Deposit checks would print on 8 1/2 x 11 (Letter size).

LaserPRCheck VoidMessage VOID AFTER 30 DAYS This setting can be used to print a void message on the Normal with Hours Detail paycheck format.

In the Value field, enter the description that you want to print underneath the amount field. If you want to move the verbiage over to the right, enter spaces before the description. Play with until you have it aligned the way you want.

At this time, this option is not available on the Normal or Framed Section formats. The Legal size options have the verbiage hard coded as VOID AFTER 90 DAYS and does not use this Custom Setting.

This setting can be used to print details on Direct Deposit check forms if you are using the Legal Size Self Sealer Paycheck Layout AND have selected to Print Timekeeping Details. Without this Custom Setting details will not print on Legal Size Direct Deposit checks.

Payroll PDFHistoryOverride X This setting allows you to create PDF paychecks beyond the 15 month limit. X is the value in months.

We do not recommend that you use the horizontal or vertical adjustment Custom Settings with the Blank Check Stock option(s) since this could cause incorrect formatting of information on your check.

Make sure that you test your alignment by printing out sample checks. The MICR must print in an area of the check where the bank can read it. If it is not placed correctly, they will not be able to be cashed. You will want to send a sample check to the bank in order to ensure that the MICR is printing in the proper spot. This is normal procedure for anyone who is printing MICR regardless of the check format.
