Employee Master File-Other Compensations

When a nondiscretionary bonus is added for an employee in the Employee Master File Other Compensations and Deductions window, a section labeled Nondiscretionary Bonus Period displays in the bottom right of the window. This section contains the Bonus Period Start Date and Bonus Period End Date fields where you enter the date range for the bonus period. These fields are required if the compensation is a nondiscretionary bonus.

Note:

The End Date for the compensation must be on or after the last day of the pay week in which the bonus period ends. If it is before this, the nondiscretionary bonus compensation will not be paid.

The system uses this date range to look back at all pay weeks within the date range to find all overtime hours, meal and rest break and sick hours that may require additional amounts to be paid due to the nondiscretionary bonus.

Note:  The maximum time you can enter between the Bonus Period Start Date and Bonus Period End Date is 13 months.

The Basis for a nondiscretionary bonus must be One Time and cannot be changed to any other basis (an error message displays if you attempt the change the basis).
