TT (SIP) and TTP: Language Settings

Note:  New instances/applications of TTP are not currently being supported.

Overview

TeamTime supports multiple languages. By default TeamTime Portal offers English, Spanish, and Canadian French. For TeamTime (SIP); English, Spanish and Polish are defaulted. The English version cannot be edited, but you can roll it over and then update the Translation column information. For other languages, you may modify the existing translation text or create a new language translation with wording that is more meaningful for your employees.

The TeamTime Portal Language Settings screen may be accessed from WinTeam's TeamTime menu.

Key Functionality

Language Settings are specific to each device. In order set up Language Defaults on a TTP Device, you must be an Administrator in WinTeam, which is based on the Employee Classifications Clock Setting Is Clock/Device Admin.

The Languages set up with the Product TypeID of TeamTime are used for TeamTime SIP. The Ones set up with a Product TypeID of TeamTime Portal are only used for TTP.

Input the translations for each line in the grid and save the new language.

Note:  If you do not complete all translations for each line item for the language, the English value will populate when you save the grid. These items display on the language selection buttons on the device and within WinTeam Device Settings.

The System Notes field denotes values that may not be changed within the Language Settings. WinTeam will generate the correct information contained within the brackets (e.g. {0}). DO NOT DELETE or ALTER the brackets and numbers within the field or the translation will not work properly.

Allowed Languages grid on the TTP Device Settings screen

The Allowed Languages grid on the TeamTime Portal Device Settings screen allows the Administrator to select the languages available for the device. The list is populated based on the Language Settings screen. The Administrator can also select the default language to display on the device.

Once an Administrator has submitted these changes, the Default Language is shown on the login screen. Based on settings in the Language Settings screen, the employee can select the desired language if multiple languages are allowed on the TTP Device.

  • On the Login Screen, the Employee chooses his desired language.
  • Based on his Employee Number, the Employee sees the language selected by default every time the user is authenticated.
  • The Employee can change his language preference anytime at the login screen.
  • If an Employee wants to change his language after he has entered his Employee Number, he must click Reset to be returned to the login screen. He can then select his language preference and login again.
