Setting a discount limit

  1. On the Accounts Receivable menu, click Defaults.
  2. Under Payment Posting Information, enter the Discount GL Number where you will post the discount, or use the Lookup to locate the GL Account.
  3. In the Limit field, type the maximum discount amount that may be entered before the system prompts for a password.

How to password protect Discount amounts

You can create a password to limit the amount of a Discount. If someone enters an amount that exceeds the Discount amount in Cash Posting, they will be prompted for the password. If they don't know the password, they have to find someone that does, or they have to enter a smaller amount.

If you want to protect the Discount Limit amount with a password, click in the Password box and type a password. The password may be letters/numbers.

Setting a revenue adjustment limit

  1. On the Defaults menu, click Accounts Receivable.
  2. Under Payment Posting Information, enter the Revenue Adjustment >G/L Number where you will post the revenue adjustments, or use the Lookup to locate the GL Account.
  3. In the Limit field, type the maximum revenue adjustment amount that may be entered before the system prompts for a password.

How to password protect Revenue Adjustment amounts
